County Administrator - Susan S. Muranishi
The County Administrator is appointed by the Board of Supvervisors and implements the Board's policies and decisions.

These Department Heads are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. They report directly to the County Administrator but are ultimately accountable to the Board of Supervisors.

ACERA
The Alameda County Employees’ Retirement Association (ACERA) is the retirement pension plan for public employees in Alameda County. The ACERA Board of Retirement is responsible for administering the pension plan. It is comprised of 9 members and 2 alternates. Board members include: County Treasurer, Board of Supervisor appointments (4), and members elected by active and retired ACERA association members (6). The ACERA Board of Retirement reports to the Board of Supervisors but is accountable to association members who elected them.
