Ohemaa Nyanin is the General Manager of WNBA Golden State, where she oversees all basketball operations, including roster construction, team building, and player development. She joined the organization in May 2024. Nyanin spent over five years with the New York Liberty, most recently as Assistant General Manager. During her tenure, the Liberty made three playoff appearances, including the 2023 WNBA Finals. In the Valkyries' inaugural season, she led the franchise to a historic playoff appearance with 23 regular season wins, becoming the first expansion team to reach the postseason in its debut year. The team also earned four major league awards under her leadership. She previously worked with FIBA and USA Basketball, contributing to Olympic and World Cup gold medals. A Ghanaian American, she holds degrees from American University and was a student-athlete on its women's basketball team.
